The JVCAPITAL Project Steering Committee (PSC) is comprised of specialists or management representatives from key stakeholder groups and addresses technical details which may arise, as a result of activities relating to the project design and implementation. The PSC members act individually and collectively as vocal and visible project champions throughout their representative organizations and groups and provide leadership and advice in the execution of projects undertaken for the benefit of their respective stakeholder groups. The PSC is comprised of DBJ representatives along with management/technical representatives from the following key stakeholder groups:
- Jamaica Stock Exchange
- Jamaica Securities Dealers Association
- Financial Services Commission
- JAMPRO
- Jamaica Business Development Corporation
- Universities (UTECH, UWI)
- Private Sector Organization of Jamaica
- Small Business Association of Jamaica
- Attorney General’s Chambers
- Private Attorney(s)
The roles and responsibilities include:
- Participating in the design of the project in keeping with the strategic objectives,
- Providing subject matter expertise to the project,
- Leading the execution of sub-projects directed at the development of different elements of the ecosystem,
- Providing timely communication and facilitating inter-institutional linkages between JVCAPITAL and stakeholder representative group(s), including timely evaluation of project impact,
- Monitoring overall project progress against the project management plan.
- Reviewing and recommending for approval changes made to project plan (resources, schedules, scope, goals, cost estimates, etc,),
- Making strategic decisions regarding the prioritization of project deliverables and approving interim deliverables,
- Approve plans and documents as required by the IDB, in accordance with the Technical Cooperation Agreement,
- Reviewing and suggesting solutions for the issues critical to project success,
- Resolving conflicts between/among stakeholder groups,
- Maintain confidentiality of information under review.
